Ham was Never cursed!!! It was a BIG LIE started in the Middle Ages in Europe! Ham NEVER disrespected his father, Noah!!! Most of the world have not been told the truth about what happened on the mountains of Ararat. Noah was NOT the town drunk, no drinking problem! This is a metaphor: he had a problem with sex: Heard of "the wine of fornication"? Check the Book of Revelation. Noah waking up from "his wine" is not the same as "the wine": his wine came from the vineyard; and the wine is Noah's sex problem. Noah was sexually abusing Ham's wife for years, and Ham didn't know it. Shem and Japheth knew this about their father, and they covered it up, for they wanted "the blessing." Noah got Ham's wife pregnant, and the child was Canaan; he was the 4th son, and illegitimate. He found out when he got older when he walked in Noah's tent and caught Noah with Mrs. Ham. Noah was unconvered in the tent, sexual abusing his daughter-in-law. Canaan was going to tell everyone about this, but Noah told Canaan that he was his father, not Ham. Canaan lost his mind! True! Canaan calmed down, and realized he was better off being the 4th son of Noah than the youngest son of Ham. Canaan started to blackmail Noah. Noah would NOT recognize Canaan as his son publicly! To make the story short, Noah coursed Canaan because of the blackmailing, and he thought the Canaan tried to kill him with poison wine which made people think that Noah was drunk! Ham was in Noah's tent to clean him up, that was his role. He left, and Canaan came into the tent. Noah remarried to a young woman, a Japhethite princess; Canaan seduced her. Then Ham came back into the tent and saw them together: Yes, his father's nakedness is another metaphor for "his father's wife." Canaan got into a fight with his step-father Ham: Ham was angry about "his son" being with his grandfather's new wife. Ham didn't know that he was fighting with his half-brother! The fight woke up Shem and Japheth. Canaan got out of Noah's tent before the older brothers got there. Ham came out, and he came face to face with Shem and Japheth demanding what was going on in Noah's tent. Ham lied to his brothers about what he saw, to protect Canaan! Yes, Ham told his brothers WITHOUT THE TRUTH---He lied!!!

How do I know these things because my ancestors traded with the Canaanites, and they told the story: Who they were and what happened to Canaan. The story was passed down to me by my father who got it from his grandmother, and she got it from her ancestors. There are people who know this story, but they don't want it to come out! You want to talk to me, I will talk.

Sincerely,
Marilyn Turner

The Bible doesn't explain much about the eternal state, following Christ's 1000-year reign on earth, so we cannot be too emphatic about it. It could well be that believers of the Church age will spend eternity in the new heaven while believers of other ages (such as the Jewish age) will spend eternity on the New Earth.

The same goes for your question about working in eternity. I cannot reference any Scriptures that describe this, but my feeling is that we may each have jobs much like we do today.

I'm not sure that I understand your question about Melchizedec. He was a man like any other, but the relationship between Jesus and him is one of type/anti-type between the Old Testament and the New Testament. The significance of the Scriptures about Melchizedec is that Christ's sacrifice on the cross covers all believers of all ages because Melchizedec pre-dated the Age of the Jews.

Re. judgment: Please see my article on this at http://www.christiandataresources.com/judgment.htm

I think also that believers have been judged already at the cross by the death of Jesus so judgment belongs to unbelievers after death.

This article is so true. No person can assume to know what is going on in another persons mind, or what their position is with God. We have all been influenced and conditioned by the circumstances of our upbringing and childhood, and then to a lesser extent our circumstances as an adult. The 3 wonders of heaven are : 1) I wonder where so and so is? They looked and acted so holy on earth! 2) I wonder why so and so is here? They were never in church and I didn't even know that they were a Christian! 3) I wonder why I am here, although I believed my life never truly reflected that of Jesus.
WHY?? God's grace made available to him who believes, Christ our righteousness.
Bless you all,

Ecclesiastes 1:18 "....and he that increaseth in knowledge increaseth in sorrow."

I'm not one to believe that we are capable of forgetting anything permanently. What purpose would we serve to learn, but forget? If we wont need our current, water based, brains to remember the events that pass within our lives, after we die, then perhaps our memories are stored within our spirits or soul? Research has even suggested that we recall past experiences from our ancestors through genetics. Is it possible? I hope so, because that would be really cool.
Curse or not, some have been tasked with remembering every detail within their lives. Others seem to pass by blissfully without remembering a thing. You know the kind. They make you mad sometimes righ?, When an experience is repeated or scene is present, we all remember that one time or another. I believe that's why we're suppose to press forward, stay busy, and hold captive every thought. Even people suffering from hals haimers remember random events in their lives. Even if they don't recognise Bobby from Timmy.
Personally, I find the idea of forgetting anything, joyful or painful, in my life to be frightening. "Every" memory and experience I've lived is apart of me. Thank God I don't think about them all at once or I'd need a lobotomy or electronic shock therapy.
So, is it possible to do a good deed without remembering it? I don't think so. You taught me that there were two sides to pride. Boastful selfish pride and righteous pride. Being proud of ones own deeds doesn't necessarily lead to unrighteousness. Unless one decides that they've done "their fair share" before crossing the finish line. Righteous pride serves to keep us going and to ensure us we're on the right track. Unless one is just arrogant.

Peace?
