How I Want to Die (My End of Life Strategy)

 I’m 56 years old.  I might have 20 or 30 years left, but I believe it’s more like 10 or 15.  Regardless, since any of us could die at any time, I believe that it’s time for me to consider how I want to die.  This is simply a practical matter for me, not a gruesome one.  We should each have a living will, and we should be willing (and even eager) to discuss it.  It is my choice to die a natural death, with dignity, but I have placed particular constraints on what I believe a natural death looks like.  I believe that there are things we can do to promote dying in a healthy and sound way, and this kind of death looks much different to me than what many people choose.  There are three aspects to my end-of-life strategy:  spiritual, physical, and financial.

    God respects us and He gave us the possibility to decide. Each of us chose the way we see things and the world around us. It’s vital what we feed ourselves on what we see, hear and meditate on. We need to feed ourselves on God’s word, because in this way our eyes will be enlightened to what we have in Christ Jesus.
