I believe that our nation has lost its moral compass and is on a downward spiral. We have crossed the line and there’s no turning back. God gave the Ten Commandments to the nation of Israel in order to preserve their freedom. Without adherence to God’s moral laws, a nation falls to anarchy, tyranny, and despotism. We have sacrificed our freedom by continuously breaking the Ten Commandments:
1) You shall have no other gods before me. Our gods are self, money, our jobs, etc.
2) You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything… We have made sports and entertainment celebrities into idols, and we celebrate their images on television and the internet.
3) You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God… We not only misuse God’s name in swear words, but apostates use His name to justify their false beliefs and practices.
4) Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. This commandment does not directly apply to Christianity.
5) Honor your father and your mother. I do believe that most Americans still respect our parents.
6) You shall not murder. We legally murder one million children each year through abortion.
7) You shall not commit adultery. Over half of married people have committed adultery; over half of marriages result in divorce; and, now we’ve redefined God’s definition of marriage for Him.
8) You shall not steal. Government and politics–Enough said.
9) You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Most people lie every day.
10) You shall not covet. Most people want more money and things.
