A federal court in Washington has told the Trump administration that the government can’t interfere with the ability of pregnant immigrant teens being held in federal custody to obtain abortions. The order, issued March 30th, 2018, bars the government from “interfering with or obstructing” pregnant minors’ access to abortion counseling or abortion, while a lawsuit proceeds. The order covers pregnant minors being held in federal custody after entering the country illegally.
So, an undocumented person (illegal alien), cannot only come to the U. S. illegally, engage in further crime, and become pregnant, but also get a taxpayer-funded abortion while in jail.
I’m a conservative, and I don’t like unnecessary government interference, but we have this all backwards. Of the few places where the government should “interfere,” this is one of them–interfering with taking an innocent life. The truth is that the government has already interfered by making abortion legal.
